Oliver Tree, the California-born singer-songwriter and rapper known for tracks like "Life Goes On," "When I'm Down" and "Miss You," died in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, according to CNN Brazil.

The alt-pop US musician and internet personality Oliver Tree was among six people who died when the helicopter he was travelling in collided with another in Brazil.

“So when I die, my will is set up that when I pass, my family, no one’s going to get a penny,” he added.
